We understand that it may not be possible for everyone to travel.
We are hopeful, with the continued rollout of the vaccine, that it will be safe to travel and gather by September 2021.
For those up for the adventure, we can’t wait to celebrate with you on one of the most beautiful islands in the world – Kauai, Hawaii.
Kauai is a breathtakingly lush island featuring a mix of rainforests, mountains, farmlands, sea cliffs and beaches. It has a relaxed and rural vibe, perfect for dreamy daytime adventures and quiet evenings. In September, the average temperature ranges from high 70s to low 60s, and it’s often sunny with passing showers, ensuring countless waterfalls and rainbows.
Our wedding location is on the South Shore in Poipu – known for its resorts and pristine white sand beaches perfect for swimming.
If you are planning on extending your stay, we encourage considering also staying on the North Shore – in the resort area of Princeville or neighboring Kilauea and Hanalei.
The main airport on Kauai is Lihue Airport (LIH).
It is serviced by Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. Some airlines offer direct flights to Lihue, Kauai, while others include a layover in Honolulu, Oahu.
If you plan to extend your stay beyond the weekend of the wedding, we highly recommend renting a car, as public transportation options and ride sharing services are limited. The main highway forms a semi-circle, connecting the West side of the island to the North Shore, and it takes approximately two and a half hours to traverse.
Ride share and taxi fares from the Lihue Airport to the Poipu area cost approximately $40-$60.
On the day of the wedding, transportation will be provided between Koloa Landing Resort and The Beach House. We highly encourage our guests use this option, as we want to ensure everyone’s safety while celebrating.
