We met on Thanksgiving Day 2009 – and we have pretty much been inseparable since. Although it may not have been completely known to us at the time, it was love at first sight.
On our first big trip together in June 2012, we fell in love with the beauty of Kauai and the thrill of travel. Over the 11 years we have been together, we have shared many great adventures, including several driving trips throughout the Southwest, many visits to friends and family in the Midwest, and some international trips, where we have visited Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico and New Zealand – where we celebrated our 10th anniversary.
After our first full day of exploring the beautiful beachside town of Whitianga, New Zealand, on November 17, 2019, Gabe proposed to Maggie – surprising her midway through the first episode of the Mandalorian with a ring box strategically placed on a homemade charcuterie plate. We quickly reframed our anniversary trip to quite the epic engagement-moon!
When we are not travelling, we enjoy being out and about in America’s Finest City, adventuring with our two furballs Simcoe & Sterling, cooking food and brewing beer at home, and spending time with our fabulous group of friends and family.
Now that the worst of the pandemic is behind us, we are overjoyed at the thought celebrating our wedding with you all.
